I like to find out if other providers would like to build up a list of providers who massage for lower prices. Trading or bartering for massage probably works if you are looking for specifc things, I like to find out if there are others who would offer there skills for less than usual price only to OTHER providers.

What are your thoughts...

I trade with other therapists. I do give discounts to students. But I don't give discounts to other therapists.

I would also comment that I only trade with therapist who are licensed and working AS a therapist. I run into alot of "use to be" or "studied massage" people who want to trade or get a discount. Most of the time I just pay for massage at full rate for myself since I am too busy to trade at this point in time. It is easier for me to get weekly bodywork that way.

When probed for more info, they usually reveal a lack of any formal training too. I agree, it's a lot easier to just see another therapist as a regular client.
